The Senior Business Development Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the agency’s overall business growth strategy, managing high-profile client acquisitions, and expanding market presence. Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development Leadership

  • Define and execute the agency’s business development strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives.

  • Lead efforts to acquire new high-profile clients and expand the agency’s footprint in key industries.

  • Identify opportunities for agency growth through market expansion, new service offerings, and strategic partnerships.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance on sales strategies, client engagement, and deal closing.

  • Set sales targets and performance goals for the business development team, ensuring alignment with agency revenue objectives.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to the team.

High-Level Client Engagement

  • Manage relationships with top-tier clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and identifying opportunities for account expansion.

  • Oversee contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and terms of agreement with major clients.

  • Serve as the face of the agency in key client meetings, presentations, and industry events.

Partnership Development

  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with other businesses, technology providers, and industry influencers to enhance the agency’s offerings and market position.

  • Explore new business opportunities through mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures that can strengthen the agency’s capabilities.

Market Expansion & Industry Expertise

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market demands to inform business development strategies.

  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify new sectors, industries, and geographic markets for agency expansion.

  • Represent the agency at industry conferences, panels, and networking events to enhance its market presence and generate leads.

Revenue Tracking & Reporting

  • Lead the development of revenue forecasts, sales reports, and business development KPIs, providing insights to the executive team.

  • Track overall performance of business development initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing processes.

  • Ensure that revenue targets and business growth objectives are consistently met or exceeded.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 12+ years of experience in business development or sales, with a strong focus on digital marketing or advertising.

  • Proven experience in managing high-value client relationships and closing large deals.

  • Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing services and industry trends.
