Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for finding new business opportunities, building relationships, and supporting sales strategies. They manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals with medium to large clients. The focus is on generating leads, prospecting clients, and nurturing early-stage relationships while gaining experience in closing deals. This role requires experience in managing relationships, closing deals, and contributing to the agency's revenue growth.

Scope of Work

  • Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, client prospecting and engagement, deal closing, and implementing sales strategies.

  • Assist in building and maintaining client relationships.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support senior team members in dealing with potential clients.

  • Help develop sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to assess business development efforts.

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive client acquisition and revenue growth.

  • Lead client meetings, discovery sessions, and pitch presentations, effectively communicating the agency’s value.

  • Negotiate and close deals with medium to large clients, ensuring contracts meet both client needs and agency goals.

  • Work with internal teams (marketing, creative, strategy) to deliver solutions that meet client requirements.

  • Keep the CRM updated with all lead and client communications.

  • Track and report on business development efforts, providing insights to senior leadership and recommending strategy adjustments.

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services within existing client accounts.

  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to build relationships and represent the agency.

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and digital marketing advancements to guide business development strategies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 6-8 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in a digital marketing or advertising agency.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic understanding of digital marketing services and industry trends.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.

  • Proven track record of closing deals and meeting revenue targets.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing services, tools, and strategies.

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and client relationship management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple client opportunities and complex projects simultaneously.
