Digital Marketing Specialist Lead

The Digital Marketing Specialist Lead guides digital marketing tasks across channels, manages small projects, and oversees junior team members. This role involves developing leadership skills, ensuring successful marketing strategy delivery, managing campaigns, and leading a small team. It requires a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies and the ability to work independently, offering strategic direction and hands-on support.

Scope of Work

  • Provide guidance and support to digital marketing specialists.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of marketing campaigns and meet client objectives and KPIs.

  • Oversee and manage the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel digital marketing campaigns.

  • Lead teams of digital marketing specialists, ensuring successful delivery of marketing campaigns across various channels.

    Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends and insights for future strategies.

Roles and Responsibilities

SEO & Paid Media Support

  • Analyze campaign performance and make recommendations for optimization.

  • Lead the development and execution of SEO strategies, including technical SEO, on-page optimization, site audits, and backlink-building.

  • Oversee paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and other platforms, ensuring they meet or exceed performance targets.

  • Guide A/B testing, audience segmentation, and retargeting strategies to improve campaign effectiveness.

Campaign Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead the planning and execution of mid-tier digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, including SEO, paid media, social media, and email marketing.

  • Develop campaign strategies that align with client goals and drive measurable results.

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of campaigns, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and KPIs.

Team Management & Mentorship

  • Manage teams of digital specialists, delegating tasks, overseeing workflows, offering guidance and feedback on their work.

  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, helping them develop their skills and grow within the agency.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and offer feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Assist in training and onboarding new team members on digital marketing tools and best practices.

  • Ensure that all team deliverables meet quality standards and align with client expectations.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for mid-tier client accounts, managing expectations and providing regular updates on campaign progress.

  • Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and tailor digital marketing strategies to meet their needs.

  • Present campaign performance reports and strategic recommendations during client meetings.

  • Assist in client communications, providing updates on campaign progress and performance.

  • Assist in escalated and complex issues encountered by teams.

Performance Reporting & Insights

  • Analyze and interpret complex data from multiple digital marketing channels, providing actionable insights to improve performance.

  • Create detailed reports that highlight campaign successes, key learnings, and areas for optimization.

  • Present data-driven recommendations to internal teams and clients to inform future strategies.

  • 4-6 years of experience in the field.

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing principles and strategies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Extremely knowledgeable with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
